Connecting to Bren Terminal Servers:

Computers with Windows XP or Vista should already have the software you need to connect to the Bren Terminal Servers pre-installed however if you cannot find the software, or are running Mac/OSX please see our page on installing the Remote Desktop Connection Client.

On most computers running Windows XP you can find the Remote Desktop Icon here:

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> 'Remote Desktop Connection'

Once you click on it, you will see the following:

If this is the first time you have used Remote Desktop Connection you will probably want to check through the settings, to do this click the Options button, then click on the General tab.



Computer: You will want to enter either 'snoopy.bren.ucsb.edu' or 'woodstock.bren.ucsb.edu'

User Name: This is the bren username and password you use to access bren computers

Password: The password for the above account

Domain: ESM

Then click 'Connect', you should now be logged into the Bren Terminal Servers you specified.
